Hospital is there when you need it

Letter to the Editor

n May I had written a letter thanking the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital Urgent Care for saving my son’s life (Michael Stallman). Two weeks ago, Mike became ill again. He spent one week in Overlake Hosptial and would have had to stay two more weeks except that our local hospital once again became a life saver for us.

Mike has to have three infusions a day, which are being done at our hospital. He goes for two hours in the morning and one hour in the evening. He has a great team of nurses and a very nice room with a television, so he relaxes and doesn’t seem to mind his treatments at all.

Lori, an urgent care nurse, brought him in a snuggle bear to cuddle during treatments. We have also been going to Overlake three times a week for his blood tests, but guess what? Kimberly Witkop, the new medical director at our hospital, just called to tell me they could do them – no more trips to Bellevue!

Please take a minute to drop by and meet the good people at Snoqualmie Valley Hospital. You never know when you might need them.
