High-school Key Club benefits many

Letter to the Editor.

The students who make up the Mount Si High School Key Club are a very fine group dedicated to community service. Among the many projects they do are entering the Relay For Life for the American Cancer Society, setting up the tables at the food bank in North Bend each week, providing monthly service to Mama’s Hands and distributing food to the homeless in Seattle’s Pioneer Square area.

They aren’t all seriousness. They had a great time planning, organizing and holding a X-Box Tourney for the rest of the students at Mount Si recently. It was fun.

They make this old fogy feel welcome and appreciated. They are great people.

They are typical of the kids at Mount Si. Drive by the school any spring day and see the great number of kids involved in after-school activities. These things don’t just happen. With the leadership of dedicated educators like principal Dave Humphrey and faculty advisor Joe Dockery, and student leaders, a great program happens.
