Family wishes to thank everyone for their support

Letter to the Editor.

I am very lucky to have been born and raised in a small town (it was,

at one time). My sisters Bonnie and Patty feel the same way. It is amazing

how everyone comes together in a time of need and this town has come

together a lot in the past for my family.

Craig Bennett said it all when he told us that Greg was a great

organizer. He had the ability to gather everyone together for some great project of

his and then stand back, while we did the work. He had to be there to make

sure we did everything right, was Greg’s way, and he did it well.

The Moose and Eagles Clubs have helped my family through some

difficult times in the past and they were there for us again. The

fund-raisers, held by both clubs to help with

Greg’s expenses, were a great success. I knew Rick Gohlke could get money out

of anyone, I just didn’t realize how much! A big thanks to Charlotte, Rosie,

Mary, Debi, Lois Wayne and Curt for setting up before the funeral and

staying through to the clean-up.

The Prom Night put on by the Eagles turned out to be Greg’s

last night on the town. It was nice to see Greg smiling and laughing with

his friends. He really enjoyed himself that night and we all enjoyed seeing

him happy. It is really hard to thank everyone since I know there were a lot

of people behind the scenes that were there doing things. We knew we

had friends, we just didn’t realize how many. It is very difficult to write

this thank you since it hasn’t been to long since we were writing one for our

father. I would just like to let everyone know how much their friendship

is appreciated, especially during these past months.

A special thank you to Aunt Mary and Uncle Andy (here from

Indiana). They stayed at the house with Greg and helped take care of him. With

them at the house in the evenings, we were able to go home at night to our

families. They got to see first hand how our family comes together and

sticks together when needed.

Thank you everyone for the flowers, cards and especially the food.

We didn’t have to cook for weeks. That was great with everyone coming

and going. There was food all the time for anyone who stopped in to pay

their respects.

Let us not forget those Snoqualmie Firemen. They were there anytime

we needed help transporting Greg from the car or the house! We couldn’t

have done it without them.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Margee Paker, Shannon and Bob Willing (Kasey),

Shaun and Heidi LeMoine (Christopher and Blake), Dani and

Jim Sletten (Samantha), Bonnie and Maurice Martin,

Tammy and Rob Hawk, Roni and Edward Porter, Jenny and

Ron Smith (Boe and Teanna), Patty and Alan Barker, Tina

Barker and Donnie Barker.
