Enough is a Enough!

Letter to the Editor

I was reading through the Snoqualmie Valley Record. I came across an editorial titled “Young Marines poem,” which touched my heart and made me grateful for my freedoms. I continued to the next editorial titled “School editorial partially factual.”

I am so tired of the Ridge residents up in arms about what school their children should go to. Who do you think you are? Do you not realize that the Snoqualmie School District includes Snoqualmie, Fall City, Carnation, Preston and North Bend. The Ridge is not the only area affected by decisions the school board makes.

My neighborhood was originally assigned to Snoqualmie Middle School, but when Chief Kanim was built our neighborhood was chosen to go to Chief Kanim. I wish my children did not have to get up at 6:15 a.m. to catch the school bus.

Change is part of life and we as adults need to teach our children that change can be for the best. There are things we should fight to change. Do you really think this is something you should be bothering the school board with?

My advise to Ridge residents is that you use your energy to improve the education experience for the whole Valley. Relax and look around and realize men and women are dying for your freedom of speech. Don’t waste your privilege on this nonsense.

You can make this a positive change. You can either be part of the Valley or isolate yourself from the Valley. Think it over, it’s up to you how this affects the Valley.
