Daffodils a beautiful example of tenacity

Letter to the Editor

It’s great to see the daffodils in bloom. I admire their beauty and ability to survive.

In 1932 we had one of the worst floods ever. It wiped out the bulb farm in Fall City. Daffodil bulbs were scattered all over the Lower Valley. They took root wherever the flood waters left them.

They continue to thrive and look beautiful, despite their advanced age.
