Children’s Services thanks supporters

Letter to the Editor

Thank you so very much to our loyal friends and supporters who were in attendance at our 2003 Autumn Gala last Saturday at the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club. Their generosity was truly astounding. A total of $144,000 was raised at our auction event for the children and families of the Snoqualmie Valley. This record-breaking celebration succeeded beyond even our most hopeful expectations.

The impressive support from our leading corporate sponsors Nintendo, the Washington Mutual Home Loan Center of Issaquah, Digitech Home Systems and John Day Homes provided outstanding momentum for the night of the event.

Especially heartwarming was the story that our nearly 300 guests heard from Chuck Depue. Chuck and his wife Christie have a daughter, Skyler Hope, who participates in our program for infants and toddlers with disabilities. After Chuck’s presentation, our guests responded with $41,000 in cash donations to fund the dream of helping even more children like Skyler.

We are so proud to be a part of this Valley and especially proud of what our friends helped us achieve last weekend. On behalf of the children and families we serve, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
