Benefit auction supported by community

Letter to the Editor.

On Friday evening, June 2, a benefit auction was held on behalf of

Todd Hayes, a local Valley resident who was diagnosed last year with Lou

Gehrig’s disease. The auction was a huge success due to the large turnout of

not only friends and family, but also caring individuals who had never

met Todd.

We would like to thank all the merchants and individuals from

the Snoqualmie Valley who generously donated goods, services and their

time to make this auction possible. Among them are Duvall Auto Parts,

Duvall Shell, H.O. Sports, T.G. Images Plus, Microsoft, True Value Hardware

in Duvall, Wentz Electronics, BMC West, Hayes Kennels, Northfolk

Enterprises, Weber Construction, Fury Construction, Mount Si Golf

Course, Cascade Golf Course, Snoqualmie Ridge Golf, Frankie’s Pizza,

North Bend Texaco, North Bend Bar and Grill, Ace Hardware, Hangchow

Restaurant, El Caporal Restaurant, M.T. Electric, Full Sail Brewing

Company, Ace Hardware in North Bend and The Valley Record.

A special thank you to the Moose Lodge for hosting the event and

to Cheryl Reed for her outstanding auctioneering services.

Todd and Joyce Hayes are grateful for the money raised, which

will help defer mounting medical expenses as Todd battles this debilitating

and fatal disease.

Our prayers are with him.
