I am writing this letter to let everyone know that there will be an Alpine Days. I work on the Alpine Days 2001 committee and every time that I mention this, people are surprised. At one time Alpine Days was on the shelf, but we have taken it down, dusted it off and are going as hard as we can to get it ready. There will be live music, vendors, kid’s events, a parade and, of course, fireworks (thanks to the Wyrsch family). Alpine Days 2001 will take place Aug. 10, 11 and 12.

There are only eight to 10 of us working on this event. So if you are interested in helping, we could use it. We are currently looking for people on the planning committee, volunteers for the days of the event, vendors and two flat-bed trucks to use as a stage.
