A note to Fall City neighbors

Letter to the Editor.

We would like to thank all the dedicated volunteers that made

Fall City Days 2000 possible. The key committee members spent the last

nine months at meetings; [making or getting] countless phone calls;

recruiting our very generous sponsors; mailing applications for the booths, fun

run, and parade; putting up signs and road barricades; folding and selling

T-shirts; numbering ducks for the ducky derby; working on graphic

designs; selling duck tickets; organizing entertainment; putting up sound

systems and stages; [arrranging] promotion; and [doing] accounting and I could

go on and on.

These people do this because they love their community and they

want to give back. And all the proceeds do go back. The proceeds have

benefited Chief Kanim, Children’s Services, Citizens’ Foundation, Boy

Scouts, SnoValley Scholarship Fund and more. The following volunteers

were instrumental in creating a very successful Fall City Days 2000:

Karen and Bill Aggenbach, Vanessa Allen, Jennifer and Lee Alexander,

Gail Blanco, Brenda and Bob Carignan, Connie Dye, Judy Dix, Mike

Hasting, Jane Krien, Laurie and Kevin Hauglie, Zanda Krien, John Lazenby,

Barb Lewis, Ruth Pickering, Leslie and Ward Riggins, Terry Reilly,

Cindy Sattler, Cindy Soderman, Joan Svarthumle, Carmen Villanueva.

In addition to the above, it took over 100 volunteers for the fun

run, about 30 people for the ducky derby and many others for the main

parade and kiddie parade.

Thank you everyone for all your efforts. The community had a fun

and safe day. Fall City Days was definitely y2k compliant _ great job. See

you next year.
