Robert K. Burgoine

Robert K. Burgoine, 89, of Palm Springs, California, fell asleep in the Lord on Wednesday, January 5, 2011. He was married to his wife Laurel for nearly seventy years. Bob served in the Navy during World War II, and worked for many years as a groundskeeper for the Snoqualmie Valley School District. Bob was Leader of Boy Scout Troop 233, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Seattle in the 1950’s, and coached Little League baseball in Seattle and Snoqualmie from the 1960’s until the 1980’s. Bob and Laurel were both long-time members of Mt. Si Lutheran Church in North Bend, and have also been members of Our Savior’s Community Church in Palm Springs, California. Bob is preceded in passing by his parents, Edmund and Margaret, and his daughter Dinah. He is survived by his wife, Laurel, of Palm Springs; his brother, Richard, of Portland, Oregon; his son Robert Jr., of Stockton, California; his daughter Linda (Fiorillo), of Kent, Washington; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Bob will be interred at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Ave. NE, Renton. Memorial services were held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1020 E. Ramon Rd., Palm Springs, California, on January 21, 2011. An additional memorial service will be held at a future date at Mt. Si Lutheran Church, 411 N.E. 8th St., North Bend, Washington.
