PEGGY JOSEPHINE NORTHCUTT-TRAVIS-HIRCHERT

Peggy Josephine Northcutt-Travis-Hirchert of North Bend, WA, was born October 1, 1934 in Syracuse, Kansas. She was surrounded by her family, husband, son, daughter, granddaughters, before she departed for her next adventure on May 5, 2017 to be with her heavenly Father.

Peg was raised in Powell Butte, Oregon, graduated from Redmond Union High School, Redmond, Oregon. She eventually earned her AA and continued to work on her BA in Business Administration from Bellevue College in Bellevue, WA.

She served her country in the U.S. Marines.

Most important to her was her faith, family and friends.

She enjoyed reading and writing about her many adventures and experiences. Traveling – hitchhiking from Seattle, through British Columbia, and Alaska to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska on the “Haul Road”. She had many hobbies and craft projects.

Peg is survived by her partner, her love and best friend, Dave Hirchert; sister Jeanette D. Marbourg of Ephrata, WA.Three children, John Dean Travis of Rochester, WA, James David Travis of North Bend, WA and Judy Deanne Travis of Preston, WA. Two granddaughters, Whitney Travis of North Bend, WA and Meredith Travis of Sumner, WA. Three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Alivia and Ty of North Bend, WA.

When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand,

That Jesus came and called my name and took me by the hand.

And when I walked through heaven’s gates, I felt so much at home.
