Paul Edward Reynolds, age 73, a resident of Fall City, WA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, approximately 1:30 pm, Wednesday, September 3, 2008. After attending his 55th High School Reunion in Kenvir, KY with his daughter Andrea, the two were staying with Paul’s sister and brother-in-law in Clinton, TN, when he unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in their home.Paul was born February 13, 1935 in Kenvir, KY, to Dewey and Edna Reynolds. He graduated from High School in 1953, joined the Army from 1954-1956, during which time he met and married Ardene June Carter, his adoring wife of 55 years. She was always at his side as his lover, companion, confidant, best friend and soul-mate, and the mother of his children. She unexpectedly went home to be with her Savior Jesus Christ, April 11, 2006. Paul and Ardene x-crossed the US from Seattle to Tennessee to Florida and back again, raising five children and finally retiring in Fall City, WA. He began his career as a Mechanic, eventually owning and operating the Shell Gas Station on Mercer Island for many years. Selling that business, he moved the family off the Island to Bellevue. He worked for Mid-Lakes Chevron and Clarkes Towing in Issaquah until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, and continued to engage his friends, children and grandchildren in the love of that sport. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Edna Reynolds, Ardene’s parents, Andrew and Ferne Carter; his niece SherryLynn Ferguson and his eldest sister Mildred McPeek, both of Beaver Dam, KY, and his loving wife Ardene. Paul is survived by his father’s youngest brother, Claude Reynolds of MI; his sister Kathleen Takacs and her children, Stephanie Dahl and Michael Takacs and their families; his sister JoeAnn and brother-in-law Wayne Alley of TN and their children and families; his niece Vickie Lee and husband Pete Kalesnik of KY.His brother and sister in-law, Robert and Doris Carter of MI, their nine children and families; His children; Daughter, Deweyn and Victor Salemann of Sammamish;Son, Paul Jr. and Pennyrose Reynolds of Renton;Son, Richard and Jane Reynolds of Fall City; Daughter, Andrea and Mikel Robbinson of Lynnwood:Son, Micheal Reynolds and Donna Peal of North Bend;His beloved grandchildren;Stephanie, Nick and Casandra, Jennifer, Kris and Holly, Brooke, Natalie, Anthony, Trey and Tara.The memorial service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2008, at 12:00pm at Preston Baptist Church, 31104 SE 86th St, Preston, WA 98050In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to Preston Baptist Church.
