Michael Walter Root passed away on January 12, 2026, in Seattle.

He is survived by his parents Mike and Judy Root and his brother Jacob Root. He passed away with his family by his side.

Michael was raised in the valley and always called it home.

He was known for his artistic talents in music in the valley and performed at Alpine Days and Mt. Si Nursery.

Michael will be remembered as a gentle soul with a kind heart always thinking of others first.

On his request, his ashes will be spread in the valley in special places dear to his heart.
