Karen Anne (Lorenz) Castagno, born May 31, 1939 in Decatur, Illinois, died June 10, 2009 in Snoqualmie, Washington.Karen moved to Renton, WA when she was 4 years old, she attended Renton High School, after graduating, she attended college at Western Washington University where she met and married Gary Castagno in June 1959, they had three sons.She moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in 1968 where her three sons were raised. She worked for the Snoqualmie School District for many years and then retired from Evergreen Christian Fellowship after 15 years.She is survived by her sister Kris Heimbigner, three brothers, Karl, Ken and Kim Lorenz and her sons, Bill, Mike, Rob, daughter-in-laws, Karyn, Jamie and 8 grandchildren, the greatest blessings of her life; Nicole, Cassi, Remo, Corianne, Caylene, Rossco, Carissa and Carina.Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 20, 11 am, Evergreen Christian Fellowship, 120 228th Avenue Northeast, Sammamish, WA 98074, 425-391-9579.Please visit her everlasting memorial at www.mem.com.If you desire, a memorial fund is being established, donations may be made to the Karen Castagno Memorial fund and sent to 27211 SE 170th Street, Issaquah, WA 98027.
