John William Cabe | Obituary

On Saturday, February 25, 2023, John William (Bill) Cabe, 83, peacefully went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was blessed to have his family beside him.

John (Bill) Cabe was born to Jerry Jerome and Marion Susan Cabe in Snoqualmie Washington. He had a sister; Carol Ann Ketz and they grew up in the North Bend and Snoqualmie Valley area in Washington.

After 4 years in the Air Force, John married his wife, L. Yvonne Poe. They were married for 57 years. In their early years, John worked for Weyerhaeuser and as an independent electrician. In 1975, he moved to Ephrata WA to work for the Grant County PUD for the next 30 years.

John enjoyed coaching his daughters, fishing, and hunting and in his later years, watching his grandkids playing their sports. He was always the handy man for his family and friends.

John was a member of Duck’s Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, VFW, and the Elk’s.

The family wants to acknowledge and give thanks to all the caregivers who spent countless hours providing care for him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Marion Cabe, his sister Carol Ketz and Brother in Law Dick Ketz. He is survived by his wife L. Yvonne Cabe; his two daughters — Carla (Jeff) Pheasant and BettyJean Cabe (Shawn Byrnes).

He made many memories with his 7 grandchildren – Thomas Edward Pheasant, Madison Ann Homer, Chandler Cabe Homer, Riley William Pheasant, Callahan James Homer, Megan Lee Pheasant and Berkley Dean Homer.
