John Rene Carlson

John Rene Carlson, 66, of Fall City, Washington, but resided in Yelm for the past 4 years, died of a heart attack on April 6, 2021, at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. John was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend to many throughout the Snoqualmie Valley, as well as in Yelm and Fall City, Washington. He is unbearably missed.

John was born May 31, 1955, to William and Joyce Carlson in Snoqualmie, Washington. He graduated from Mount Si High School in 1972.

As a young boy, he worked on a farm baling hay and also at a gas station in Snoqualmie before he landed his career job in 1981 with the Washington State Department of Transportation from which he retired in 2005 after 24 years of service.

John is survived by his daughter, Echo Fankhauser; Son, Jon Howe; brother, William Carlson of Auburn, Washington; sister, Laura Kelley of Yelm; and Grandchildren, Lane & Luke Fankhauser . He is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Richard Kelley; stepdaughter, Elise Kinnamon.

A potluck/ Celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 30, 2022, 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Farm, 1711 Balsz Ave. NW, North Bend, WA. Please RSVP to Echo at 425- 208-2212. This is a joint celebration for him and Judy Lynn Peacock as they were lifelong friends who passed within months of each other.

Judy Lynn Peacock, 61, a caregiver and longtime resident of North Bend, WA, has gone home to our Lord unexpectedly on August 10, 2020. She is survived by her two children Jon Howe of Friday Harbor, WA, Echo Fankhauser of Monroe, WA & two grandsons, Lane and Luke Fankhauser. Her brothers Michael Akin of Lyman, WA and Mark & Mario Cruz of Marana, AZ. She was Aunt Judy to many nieces, nephews & great-nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Susan Darlene Robinette and Diana May Holderman and her mother, Marie Annette Schmidt of North Bend, WA.

Judy was born in Tucson, AZ December 17th, 1951 to Marie Schmidt and Pete Peacock. She attended school in Tucson before her family moved to WA state, where she graduated from Mt Si High School in Snoqualmie. She lived her life and raised her family in North Bend. She was always a very hard worker raising her children on her own. She was a caregiver at The Red Oak retirement home. She loved her job and truly felt appreciated by caring for others. Her family was the light of her life, whom she always checked in with every Sunday morning by sending a “Happy Sunday” message weekly. Judy was “mom” to many more children other than her own. She cared for everyone she came in contact with and always gave anything she had to help someone else. She is deeply loved and missed by all who knew her.

Please share in remembering her by attending a joint memorial for her and John Rene Carlson. They both passed within 8 month of each other and were lifelong friends & co-parents to Jon & Echo. Cel- ebration of life will be held on October 30th, 2022 from 2-4:30pm for a BBQ/Potluck, in North Bend at the Mead- owbrook Farm located at 1711 Boalch Ave NW, North Bend, WA 98045.
