Jane MacKenzie

Jane MacKenzie, of Carnation, passed away on September 16, 2008 at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. She was 84 years of age.Jane was born on July 20, 1924 in Cherry Valley, New York, the daughter of Alonzo and Grace Thompson. She was raised in Cherry Valley and Ossining, New York and graduated from Ossining High School. On March 13, 1942 she married Duncan MacKenzie in New York. The family moved to Carnation in 1964. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking and baking.Survivors include three daughters, Pattie (Ed) Quaale, of Carnation, Maureen MacKenzie, of Grapevine, Texas, Eileen (Robin) Stern, of Roslyn; two sons John (Susie) MacKenzie, of Federal Way, Scott (Diana) MacKenzie, of Cle Elum; sister Ruthe Dubray, of Ossining; grandchildren Rebecca, Lisa, J.D., Matt, Ruben, Kellie; great-grandchildren Ansley and Derek. She was preceded in death by Duncan in 1989.A memorial service was held 11am Friday, September 19, 2008 at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home.The family suggests remembrances to the Snoqualmie Valley Senior Center, Carnation.Arrangements are by Flintofts Funeral Home and Crematory.
