Herschel Wayne Carter Sr.

Herschel Wayne Carter Sr. passed away April 14, 2011 at 5:30 am from heart and kidney failure. He leaves behind his wife of almost 64 years, Cynthia; daughters, Nancy Thompson of Emmett, ID, Helen Mock of Everett, twins Anne Chase of Bothell and Mary Bartram of Louisville, KY; sons, Herschel Jr. of Kenmore and Mack Carter of Bothell. He had 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was born October 26, 1925 to Hebert and Louetta Carter in Lovilla Iowa and was the last of 6 siblings to passed away. Herschel worked for Safeco Insurance for 20 years and retired from Washington Survey and Rating Bureau in 1987. He was a charter member of SRAC – Snohomish Radio Aero Club for over 50 years and a member of the Mt Si Lutheran Church. His ashes will be flown over the SRAC air field.
