North Bend resident Heather Lee (Castleman) Carpenter passed away on August 6, 2018, at Overlake Hospital, surrounded by family.

Heather was born on April 12, 1970, to Richard Castleman and Mary Lou Hunt in Park Ridge, NJ, and grew up in what was then Issaquah. She graduated from Issaquah High School in 1988, attended the Cornish Art Institute and worked as a mortgage loan processor. Heather’s passions included horseback riding, hiking and climbing, playing games with family, reading and using her artistic talents.

She is survived by both her parents; her daughter, Lexi Johnson; brothers Craig and Kevin Castleman; two nieces; her former husband Mike Carpenter; and many friends who loved her. Services were held last week.
