Fred (Fritz) Magdlin | Obituary

Fritz Magdlin passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at the age of 83.

He was born in Preston, Minnesota and moved with his family, when he was 5 years old to Washington.

He was schooled in the Snoqualmie Valley, graduating from Tolt High School in 1957.

In 1960 he married wife Jeanie and they celebrated 62 years together. In 1961 he was inducted into the US Army, serving 2 years in Okinawa. He earned his Parachutist Badge and (Rifle) Marksman. After his service he worked in the logging industry for 40 years, he was known as giving honest hard work to all that knew him.

His favorite past-time was cutting wood, hunting, and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting with his two sons, Mark and Alec.

Survivors include his wife Jeanie, their children, Mark (Lynn), Alec (Kristy); three granddaughters: Samantha, Sabrina, and Nicole; his brother John (Jean); and his sisters: Sharon, Carol and Betty. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

A private burial with honors will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent, Washington.
