A Celebration of Dr. Robert (Bob) Hogan’s Life

Dr. Robert (Bob) Hogan passed away January 1, 2022, at the age of 89. Born in Burien, Washington, March 21, 1932, he went to Highline High School where he was a good tennis player. He joined the Navy and was a Hospital Corpsman on the USS Haven during the Korean War.
Bob met Shelia Woodward and the two were married during his military service. After his tour of duty, he attended Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1960.
His first Veterinary position was in Red Deer Alberta Canada for a year while he looked for a more permanent place to prac- tice. He always loved Fall City as he visited family there while growing up. He bought the local large and small animal Veterinary practice in Fall City from a doctor who was retiring in 1961. He absolutely loved being a Veterinarian and met many in the Snoqualmie Valley through his practice and community involvement. He enjoyed many activities such as the softball team baseball, Kiwanis Club, an actor in the “Passion Play” and was president of the school board to list a few. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend. He was known as “Doc” throughout the Valley. Bob met his current wife, Patty in 1998, they married in 2003. Together they started the “At Home Veterinary Services” in 2009 until 2017. Bob practiced Veterinary Medicine with clinics in Fall City, North Bend and part time on Vashon Island for nearly 57 years and then finally moved on to retired life. He loved building bonfires that could be seen from the window of the Space Station, walks, hiking up Little Si, RattleSnake Ridge, and enjoyed hiking with his children to many of the Alpine Wilderness lakes. Bob is survived by his current wife Patty, his first wife Shelia, five children, Ken, Sean, Tim, Colleen, and Kelly, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
