Dorothy Brock

Dorothy “Dot” Brock

We lost the “real deal” of a lady when Dot passed away on February 4, 2013 from complications after an open heart surgery. Dotti was born in Walla Walla, Washington on March 21, 1947. She was the youngest of five and grew up in Ellensburg, Washington. Dot lived most of her life in the Snoqualmie Valley where she raised her family. She was a “mom” to everyone and graduated high school countless times by taking in so many young people. Dot was a force of nature who worked full-time while giving herself to so many and never knew the word “No”. She started her career in banking and was the bookkeeper for G&S Services until her recent retirement in July.

Dot loved telling stories and experiencing the world to come up with those stories. She was very active and loved the outdoors. Growing up on a farm in Ellensburg, she was compassionate to animals, she enjoyed track, and horseback riding. In the Snoqualmie Valley, she was passionate about softball; played on many teams and leagues, coached little league, and recently was on the over 60 Jack & Jill league. She loved camping, going fishing, and was an avid bowler. She was caring, giving, and animated with a lively laugh.

We lost Dot suddenly and unexpectedly so an open casket viewing is Saturday, February 16, 2013 10:00 am – 12:45 pm at the Snoqualmie Valley Funeral Chapel.
