BOBBY H. JONES

A Celebration of Life will be held for Bobby H. Jones, formerly of Fall City, on August 24th at Bob’s old Drive-In, in Fall City from 1-4 pm. Bob passed away in Vegas, at 91.

Bob, son of Elmer and Ida Jones, moved to the Snoqualmie Valley when Bobby was a small child. In 1940 they moved to Fall City and began E.H. Jones and Son Lumber Co. At the age of 17, Bob joined the US Merchant Marine traveling the Pacific during WWII. In 1948, Bob married MaryAnn Wing from Snoqualmie making their home in Fall City raising 4 children. In 1962, Bob opened Bob’s Drive-In in Fall City, near the intersection of highway 202 and 203. Bob also sold lots of other items at the Drive-In and in his half price store. Bob and MaryAnn divorced in the mid 70’s after the death of their 15 year old daughter, Barbara.

In 1987, Bob met and married Barbara Sordahl. They became snowbirds and eventually sold and moved to Arizona, then Vegas where he continued buying and selling till he retired at 90.

Bob is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter, Charlotte (Ernest) Smith of Renton, sons Bobby Jones and Martin (Vaoese) Jones of Ellensburg. Bob has 3 granddaughters, 3 grandsons and 6 great grandchildren.
