The process to hire a new principal for Opstad Elementary will begin in January, Wright said, in a message to Opstad families. She was principal at the school for four years.

Declan Mallady will be the only student representing Washington on the national stage.
The multi-phase project will bring a model railway, new exhibit space and a working turntable to downtown Snoqualmie.
