May 5-6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. — Spring into Gardening Annual Plant Sale (Carnation)

The Sno-Valley Senior Center will host its annual spring plant and garden sale, one of the largest plant sales on the Eastside. The event will feature thousands of annuals, perennials, shrubs, vegetables and herbs as well as garden art. All proceeds benefit the senior center.

May 6, daylight until 10 a.m. — “Go Fish” at the Kid’s Trout Derby (Snoqualmie)

The Annual Kids’ Trout Derby will be on May 6 from daylight to 10 am at the ponds behind the Snoqualmie Police Department, 34825 SE Douglas Street. The event, for kids 5-14, is a competition hosted by the Mount Si Fish and Game Club. Kids should bring their own poles and gear. Raffle prizes are available for a $1 donation. Free coffee, donuts, and hot chocolate will be available.

May 6, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — SnoValley Veterans Luncheon (Snoqualmie)

The American Legion Renton-Pickering Post 79 in Snoqualmie will host a veterans lunch at Mount Si High School. Representatives from the Department of Veteran Affairs, Tahoma National Cemetery and King County Veteran Services will be in attendance. Guest speakers include: Sen. Mark Mullet, Councilmember Sarah Perry and Retired U.S. Army Sargent Semi Bird.

May 7, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. — Bye-bye Himalayan Blackberry, Cottonwood Forest (Snoqualmie)

The Green Snoqualmie Partnership will pull invasive blackberries to protect the health of Cottonwood Forest. Bring a bottle of water, wear clothes you can get dirty, sturdy shoes, and work gloves if you have them. Meet at Cottonwood Forest, located near the intersection of Cottonwood Ave and Silent Creek Ave. Street parking is available.Event location map and event signup: HERE

May 9, 5:30 p.m. — Beaded Suncatcher Workshop (Fall City)

Join Fall City Arts at the Fall City Library to make a beautiful Mini suncatcher for your home or garden. All material will be supplied. Bring your own old jewelry, charms or trinkets to add extra flair. Led by local artist Pepper Allphin.

May 13, 5 p.m. – Hoedown @ Remlinger Brewery (Carnation)

The Carnation Chamber of Commerce is hosting a fundraising event at Remlinger Farm’s Brewery to support Valley 104.9, the Valley’s local radio station. The event will feature live music, a silent auction and dessert dash. Tickets are $25. Tickets: HERE

May 18, 4 p.m. – Ribbon Cutting at Mount Si Physical Therapy (North Bend)

Join the SnoValley Chamber of Commerce as they hold a grand opening for Mount Si Physical Therapy at 103 Main Ave. S., North Bend. There will be food and games.
