Wanted: Pasta sauce; Helping Hand seeks food of the month

The Mount Si Helping Hand Food Bank in North Bend is a lifeline for many individuals and families in the Snoqualmie Valley who are trying to make ends meet.

Although financial contributions are always welcome, the food bank also collects a specific food item each month so that it will have enough for its clients. Individuals, organizations and churches are welcome to contribute each month.

This month, the food bank is asking for spaghetti or pasta sauce. Residents can bring donations to the food bank from 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays, 8 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. For information, call the food bank at (425) 888-0096.
