Valley flood forum set for Tuesday, Oct. 20

The annual Snoqualmie Valley Flood Forum starts at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Snoqualmie City Hall. The Flood Forum is a community meeting held each fall to address the impacts of flooding and changes in the National Flood Insurance Program.

The Flood Forum is a community meeting held each fall to address the impacts of flooding and changes in the National Flood Insurance Program. Local, county and federal panel speakers will discuss changes to the Snoqualmie Valley flood hazards and mitigation efforts currently underway.

Information on the latest offerings in flood warnings and preparedness resources and mitigation options will be presented during the forum, and details on reforms to the national flood insurance program and its effects on home- and business owners will be covered.
