The Washington State Department of Natural Resources has temporarily closed two recreational trails on Tiger Mountain, near North Bend.
The Northwest Timber Trail and Connector Trail are closed for bridge re-construction and will reopen Aug. 8. This trail closure affects equestrians, mountain bikers and hikers. A detour route is posted and can be accessed from Roads 4000 and 7000.
Funding for the project was made possible by the Recreation and Conservation Office, State Emergency Storm Relief, and FEMA.
The South Tiger Traverse Trail will reopen Nov. 1, following the Peacock Timber sale. This trail closure affects equestrian users and hikers. The Tiger Mountain Trail will remain open during the timber harvest operations.
