Third forum to help Valley’s homeless youth meets Nov.29 at Sallal Grange

Organizers of the recent homeless youth forums in Snoqualmie Valley are planning a third forum, 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, at the Sallal Grange Hall.

As of the group’s second meeting, Nov. 2, several proposals have been developing, including a teen fair and fundraiser, a food program, a “Teen Feed,” and several interim shelter solutions.

The number of homeless teens in Snoqualmie Valley is growing. Many of these teens are still trying to finish high school. The closest emergency shelter for homeless teens under 18 is Kirkland. While a number of local organizations are coming to their aid, there are still major gaps in shelter, food and services.
