A 14-year-old North Bend teen who went missing last weekend is home safe with her parents.

Federal Way police arrested a 47-year-old Kent man on suspicion of abducting the girl, reports stated.

The teen disappeared around 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, while visiting her mother at The View at Redondo apartments off Pacific Highway in Federal Way.

Christopher N. Thomson, 47, of Kent was booked into King County Jail on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

On Friday, county prosecutors filed charges of kidnapping, sexual exploitation of a minor and rape.

Court documents stated that Thomson forced the teen into his van, then took her to several motels in Federal Way, Tukwila, Sea-Tac and Milton. Documents state that he ordered her to assume a false name and age if questioned by anyone.

The teen told police that she had been forced to consume methamphetamine laced with an unknown substance.

When the girl asked to leave, Thomson threatened her with a silver pistol and a knife.

On Tuesday, the teen managed to call 911 from the Daffodil Hotel in Milton, Wash. Police arrested Thomson there.

Thomson is being held on $1 million bail.

Family members contacted police and put out a request for help in finding the teen, using Facebook and MySpace Web sites and offering a cash reward for tips.

The teen’s father told the Record that family members are relieved and grateful that she is home.

The father said that it is “time to let the healing begin.”
