State Patrol seeks witnesses to felony hit-and-run

Detectives with the Washington State Patrol are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured two people on a motorcycle on Thursday, Aug. 27, on westbound I-90/SR 900 near Issaquah.

Detectives with the Washington State Patrol are seeking witnesses to a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured two people on a motorcycle on Thursday, Aug. 27, on westbound I-90/SR 900 near Issaquah.

At approximately 9:35 p.m., WSP reported, the victims were traveling in the HOV lane on a motorcycle, when a maroon mid-1990s passenger van struck them, as it was passing on the left shoulder of the highway. Witnesses described the van to WSP as possibly a Honda or Toyota. The vehicle is likely have damage to the right rear door and right rear quarter panel.

Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle and suffereed serious injuries. The van reportedly vehicle fled the scene at a very high rate of speed, westbound on I-90; it was last observed approaching Bellevue.
