State route 203 between Carnation and Duvall will be closed until mid-January, beginning on Nov. 30.

The stretch of road suffered a landslide and has had its lanes reduced. The closure will allow crews to install drainage pipes under the roadside, and on the hillside above it. The closure will be between NE Stillwater Hill Road and NE 88th Street. Local access will be allowed between NE 124th St to the North, and NE Carnation Farm Road to the south.

The road will be closed around the clock to thru-traffic, and a detour will be available via W Snoqualmie Valley Road NE.

“We know there is never a good time to close a highway and thank everyone for their engagement. We will continue to share updates as we progress toward restoring all lanes of travel on this section of SR 203,” the Washington State Department of Transportation said in a press release.
