Snoqualmie Valley Hospital to hold March 28 mass vaccination event

Vaccinations are by appointment for those eligible.

Update: All 1,007 vaccination spot have been booked as of March 17, less than 24 hours after the event was announced.

Snoqualmie Valley Hospital will be opening a mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic later this month.

The mass vaccination event will be held on March 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is open for people who are able to receive vaccines under Washington state’s eligibility guidelines.

Over the last week, the Washington state Department of Health provided the hospital with nearly 2,000 first doses of Moderna, in addition to the requested second doses of the vaccine.

“I am truly excited that Snoqualmie Valley Hospital has received enough vaccines that we can offer a mass vaccination event for our community,” said Renee Jensen, the hospital’s CEO, in a press release.

The hospital is partnering with the Snoqualmie Fire Department and city officials to support and coordinate the event.

In December, the hospital built a second outbuilding to provide COVID-19 tests in the morning, and vaccines in the afternoons. Since December, the hospital has provided nearly 4,500 vaccines. Since last March, it has provided more than 11,000 COVID-19 tests.

The hospital is discussing what a standby list could look like today. The city of Seattle has a standby list, which staff use to notify people if there are leftover vaccines which they can receive.

The Snoqualmie Valley Hospital is located at 9801 Frontier Ave SE in Snoqualmie.

The state Department of Health has an eligibility tool online to determine if people can receive the vaccine. It can be found at https://form.findyourphasewa.org/210118771253954.
