The Snoqualmie Tribe’s Canoe Family will hold a blessing for its newly finished ocean-going canoe, 1 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Lake Sammamish State Park, 2000 N.W. Sammamish Rd., Issaquah.

Tribe members John Mullen, Wayne Graika, Jacob Mullen, Bruce Larson and Glen Ferguson worked on the canoe over the past six months.

The boat will be part of the tribe’s annual canoe journey, an event in which tribes from across the Northwest paddle from one village to another and share stories and culture.
