SNOQUALMIE VALLEY – The Snoqualmie Tribe considers the Snoqualmie Valley its home and every resident a neighbor.

One of the ways the Tribe has wanted to show the Valley it is a good neighbor is by taking care of them.

The Tribe has opened two clinics in the Valley to serve not only members of the Tribe, but anyone else who wants local health care.

“This is the Tribe’s way of giving back to the community,” said Zahid Sheikh, the Snoqualmie Tribe health administrator. “Their roots are here and they like to serve the community.”

The Tribe opened clinics in North Bend and Carnation last year and both serve anyone who needs primary or preventative care. The Tribe’s Tolt Community Clinic is located at 4334 Tolt Ave. in Carnation, and the North Bend Community Clinic is located at 406 Main Ave. in the Mount Si Shopping Center.

Although the clinics can’t handle urgent care needs, the doctors and nurse practitioners can offer numerous other services. The clinics offer full-time walk-in care that ranges from minor surgery to a complete physical. The Tribe also wants to offer preventative advice to help Valley residents fight health threats such as diabetes and smoking.
