Other heat news
The heat will also impact trash pick-up and the farmers market in North Bend this week.
Due to the heat, garbage collection will begin at 6 a.m. Aug.12 and 13. Attempts will be made to service all residents, but if the heat becomes a safety concern, some routes may not be completed. If residents are missed, they may put out double their normal amount of trash during the next collection.
The farmers market on Thursday, Aug. 12, has been canceled due to the heat. The market will resume operation on Thursday, Aug. 19, from 4 p.m. to 8.
