Snoqualmie announces more planned street closures

Significant traffic delays are again expected in downtown Snoqualmie along Railroad Ave Southeast starting next week. From June 15 to 24, construction work will require temporary road closures for the city's downtown infrastructure project.

Significant traffic delays are again expected in downtown Snoqualmie along Railroad Ave Southeast starting next week. From June 15 to 24, construction work will require temporary road closures for the city’s downtown infrastructure project.

Starting on Monday, June 15, sections of Southeast King Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 17. The sections to be closed are between Maple Avenue Southeast and Railroad Avenue Southeast, and between Falls Avenue Southeast and Railroad. Between Fir Street and Southeast River Street, Railroad Avenue will be down to one lane of traffic.

Then on Thursday, June 18, and the following Monday through Wednesday, June 22 to 24, Southeast River Street, Southeast King Street, and sections of Southeast Fir Street will be closed, from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day. The Fir Street closures will extend betweeen Maple and Railroad Avenues, and between Railroad and Falls Avenues. Between Southeast River Street and Southeast Northern Street, Railroad will be single-lane and flaggers will control the traffic flow.

Access to the west of Railroad Ave SE will be on SE Newton St and SE Northern St. Access to Falls Ave SE will be on SE Newton St. Road closure updates are also posted on the Snoqualmie Facebook and Twitter pages.
