Several intruders smashed their way into Snoqualmie Market and neighboring Mori Bistro, sometime after business hours on Wednesday, July 30 and before opening Thursday, July 31.

Business employees said that whoever broke into the store grabbed cigarettes, fruit roll-ups and frozen food items.

When Kwon and his cousin Soon Jung Kwon arrived to open the store, they noticed the market’s broken glass-pane front door and the bistro’s shattered glass door. The cousins spent the morning sweeping up the glass shards that littered the restaurant entryway.

Snoqualmie Police are investigating the burglary and are working with the business owners.

Police have two youths as suspects in the burglary, said Police Chief Jim Schaffer.

“We figured it out through good old-fashioned police work,” said Schaffer. Night patrol officers found the boys out and about the evening of the break-in. The night shift patrol and day shift patrol exchanged notes and are ‘very confident’ that the suspects committed the class B felony crime. The two Valley youths have not yet been charged or arrested as the investigation is still underway.
