Si View pool levy failing based on early results

Levy would raise property taxes to build a new community pool in North Bend

A Si View Parks District ballot measure that would raise property taxes in support of a new community pool in North Bend is failing, based on initial election results released by King County Tuesday.

So far, 52% of ballots tallied have been in favor of the levy, which requires a 60% approval rate to pass.

Results from this evening are not official. Election workers will continue counting ballots over the ensuing weeks, before certifying the election on Nov. 28.

In the other Si View race on the ballot, Tim Noonan is leading Mark Leen for position 1 on the Si View Park District Board of Commissioners. Noonan is carrying 52% of the vote, leading Leen by about 5 points.
