The Public School Employees of Snoqualmie Valley (PSE) recently voted to approve their three-year contract with Snoqualmie Valley School District.

The agreement was finalized by the Snoqualmie Valley School District Board of Directors on Thursday, March 6. Adjustments in salaries are retroactive to September of 2007.

In the Valley district, the PSE union represents about 211 classified members including custodians, bus drivers, food servers, instructional assistants, mechanics, maintenance and grounds keepers, technology specialists and school health care professionals. Secretaries are also classified employees but belong to a different organization.

Superintendent Joel Aune expressed his appreciation for classified school employees.

“These dedicated individuals deserve recognition and thanks for the outstanding work they are doing for our schools and the community throughout the Snoqualmie Valley,” he said. “Their support, professionalism, and partnership with teachers, parents and administrators is crucial for our schools to operate effectively.

“We value their daily contribution and the difference they make for our children,” Aune added.
