Valley voters have two choices to make in contested Sno-qualmie Valley School District Board of Directors races, which will be settled in the upcoming general election.

Polls open at 7 a.m. on election day, Tuesday, Nov. 6. Absentee ballots go out to King County voters on Wednesday, Oct. 17.

Contested races include Snoqualmie Valley Schools’ district 2 race, where longtime incumbent Rick Krona is challenged by facilities task force member Caroline Loudenback. Both are from North Bend.

Meanwhile, in the district 3 school board race, Snoqualmie residents Kathryn Lerner and Stephne Porterfield, who survived a three-way primary in August, are vying for the seat vacated by Kim Horn, who is not seeking re-election.

Sitting board president Kristy Sullivan is unopposed for the district 5 seat.
