Public hearing set for Snoqualmie downtown plan

A public hearing for citizen input for the draft Snoqualmie Downtown Master Plan is 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Snoqualmie Fire Station

The city of Snoqualmie will hold a public hearing for citizen input for the draft Downtown Master Plan, 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5, at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 S.E. Snoqualmie Parkway. After receiving comments from the public, the Snoqualmie Planning Commission will finalize the plan and make a recommendation to the city council for approval.

The plan is posted for public review at www.cityofsnoqualmie.org. To view it, click ‘Special Projects’, then ‘Downtown Master Plan.’ A paper copy can be provided upon request by calling the city planning department at (425) 888-5337.

The plan will provide a land use, physical design and development plan for the downtown commercial district. The plan’s goals build upon previous market analyses, visioning, and economic development plans and studies for the city and downtown in particular. It is not a zoning or comprehensive plan, but contains recommendations that may be implemented through comprehensive plan and zoning amendments.
