Protect private information at North Bend shred day, Aug. 6

The city of North Bend is hosting a free community shred event at City Hall, 211 Main Ave. N., from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 6, at the parking lot next to City Hall on Second Avenue.

The city of North Bend is hosting a free community shred event at City Hall, 211 Main Ave. N., from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Aug. 6, at the parking lot next to City Hall on Second Avenue.

This free event is open to all North Bend residents. Individuals may bring up to two file boxes or three grocery bags of documents. Stiff metal, plastic bags and DVD’s may jam the shredder and will not be accepted.

On-site service is provided by Shred-It of Western Washington as part of the city’s solid waste and recycling contract with Republic Services.
