Pre-schoolers safe following Fall City car-versus-bus accident.

Snoqualmie Valley School District reported that seven pre-school students involved in a car-versus-bus accident went home without injury.

According to media reports, a Subaru sedan collided with a small school district bus shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, on Highway 202 at Fish Hatchery Road near Fall City.

The car struck the bus on the front quarter. Both vehicles left the road.

The seven children were on their way home from a program at Snoqualmie Elementary School.

District spokeswoman Carolyn Malcolm said the children exited the bus and waited for emergency medical technicians, who checked them before allowing them to go home. Parents were notified of the accident.

The bus’s fender, wheel and axle were damaged, but can be repaired, Malcolm said.

The Subaru suffered more damage, but the teenage driver escaped serious injury, according to reports.

Malcolm told the Valley Record that the bus driver acted diligently in getting the bus off the road after the collision without endangering her passengers.

“She did all the right things,” Malcolm said.
