Police bust car thieves

Snoqualmie Police Department officer Paul Graham looks through a bag keys found in a stolen truck that Snoqualmie officer Jason Weiss pulled over in the early-morning hours of Sept. 15. Officers said many of the keys were likely taken from lost-and-found boxes at local stores. Since the keys are usually labeled with the make of vehicle, thieves often will cruise the parking lot trying different cars and trucks until a key works. Weiss pulled over two stolen vehicles in the Snoqualmie Ridge neighborhood that day, both within hours of each other. Two suspects were caught in the first incident while one of two was caught in the second.
