Considered one of the Valley’s hidden treasures, the new Snoqualmie Point Park opens to the public with a grand-opening celebration at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27.

Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson, former U.S. Sen. Slade Gorton and other dignitaries will speak at the ceremony welcoming visitors to the park.

A new view promotory, restrooms, paths and landscaped features greet visitors to the park, located at the end of Winery Road, south and up the hill from Interstate 90’s Exit 27

“The rock walls are what hit people first,” said Nancy Keith, executive director of the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, which worked to preserve and protect the park. Keith recently took a group of Greenway donors to visit the nearly-finished park.

“They were totally blown away,” she said. “We could see Mount Baker.”
