Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:

Saturday, Sept. 6
Metal hunt: At 9:58 p.m., a caller told police that someone with a flashlight was roaming the 39000 block of Southeast 101st Street, Snoqualmie, probably looking for scrap metal to steal. Police did not find the subject.
Forgotten, not stolen: At 6:18 p.m., a caller reported that her car had been stolen from a parking lot in the 500 block of South Fork Avenue Southwest, North Bend. She said the car was missing from its parking spot when she came out of a store. She later called back; the car hadn’t been stolen, she just forgot where she parked it.
Tuesday, Sept. 9
Scam: At 1:44 p.m., a caller in the 1300 block of 456th Place Southeast, North Bend, told police she’d received a phone call from someone from the U.S. Treasury, who said she was in trouble and agents were on their way to arrest her, unless she gave them money. Police were already familiar with this phone scam. The calls came from an 808 number.
Tomato tossing: At 12:53 p.m., a caller in the 9400 block of Satterlee Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, complained that some time in the past four days, a neighbor had thrown tomatoes at his house.
Mole bombs: At 6:47 p.m., a caller in the 7500 block of Fern Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, reported hearing gunshots nearby. Police investigated a construction site believed to be the source of the sound, but stopped when the caller called again to cancel the report. An exterminator at a neighbor’s home was making the noise with mole bombs of compressed air and propane.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
Break-in: At 9:18 p.m., a caller in the 8500 block of 384th Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, told police that someone had broken into her home earlier in the day. The caller said that while she was asleep, between 4 and 10 a.m., someone entered her room and stole her purse and laptop computer.

Camp out: At 7:48 a.m., police investigated a transient camp in the 45800 block of Southeast North Bend Way, North Bend. They arrested one man, and transported him to the Issaquah Jail.

Monday, Sept. 1
Mail theft: At 9:09 a.m., a caller in the 32800 block of Northeast 40th Circle, reported that someone had stolen the mail from their unlocked mailbox. The caller said the postman typically lays the mail flat in the box, but it was standing upright.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
Welfare check: At 1:57 p.m., police checked on a woman in the 4100 block of Regal Street, who had attempted to harm herself. They called aid for treatment and transport.

Thursday, Sept. 4
Alarm: At 1:52 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to the Falls Condos for a fire alarm. The alarm company was working on the system.
Saturday, Sept. 6
S’Mores: At 8:51 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to a burn complaint in the area of Stellar Park. They found a small cooking fire for s’mores, but asked the homeowner to put out the fire because of excessive smoke.
Bonfire: At 10:22 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a large party with a bonfire behind a home on Southeast Northern Street. They found a group of minors burning trash, furniture and pallets in a bonfire. Firefighters extinguished the flames and turned the incident over to police.
Sunday, Sept. 7
Motorcycle accident: At 5:54 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue for a motorcycle accident at Rattlesnake Lake Park. Upon arrival, crews rapidly treated a patient with significant injuries.
Appliance fire: At 7:42 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Falls Avenue Southeast for a report of an appliance fire at an apartment. Upon arrival, the fire had already been put out, and it was determined to be from a shorted‚Äêout heating element.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
Motorcycle accident: At 3:44 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Fall City for a motorcycle accident. One patient was treated and released at the scene.
Medical calls: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie firefighters responded to 14 medical aid calls, bringing the total 2014 annual call number to 806.

Saturday, Sept. 6
Dizziness: At 4:32 p.m., firefighter/EMTs responded to the 35500 block of 49th Street for a 26-year-old woman who was feeling dizzy. She was evaluated, treated and taken to a nearby hospital by Fall City’s aid car.
Medical problem: At 10:25 p.m., firefighter/EMT’s responded to the 29800 block of Issaquah Fall City Road for a 56-year-old man with a medical emergency. He was evaluated by Bellevue Paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital.
Monday, Sept. 8
Fall: At 1:45 p.m., firefighter/EMTs responded to the 11000 block of 325th Avenue Southeast for a 74-year-old man who was experiencing back pain after a fall. He was evaluated, treated and taken to a nearby hospital by private ambulance.
Tuesday, Sept. 9
Pain: At 10:22 p.m., firefighter/EMTs responded to the 35700 block of Southeast 47th Place for a 73-year-old woman with pain. She was evaluated, treated and taken to the hospital by private ambulance.
Wednesday, Sept. 10
Chest pain: At 3:28 a.m., firefighter/EMTs responded to the 32300 block of Southeast 44th Street for a 77-year-old man with chest pain. He was evaluated by Bellevue Paramedics and taken to a nearby hospital.
