The year 2007 marks Remlinger Farms’ 42nd annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival and the popular attraction has added a new exciting adventure to its popular event that runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday through the end of October starting Sept. 29-30.

For the first time, the festival will feature a corn maze, the paths of which have been cut to replicate the Camp Korey logo.

Camp Korey will be the new name for Carnation Farms, which will become a Paul Newman “Hole in the Wall Gang Camp” for seriously ill children. As well as honoring the courage, strength and determination of children and their families who are battling life-threatening and critical illnesses, Camp Korey’s mission is to provide a safe, friendly and medically sound environment for them to just have fun and be children.

A fall corn maze is a unique experience and Remlinger Farms features two mazes to challenge and thrill visitors. Besides the large, complex Camp Korey maze, there will be a smaller, easier-to-manage maze for toddlers in the shape of a giant pumpkin.

The Camp Korey maze will be open on the evenings of Oct. 12, 19 and 26 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. for special flashlight walks. The $5 admission fee collected these evenings will go to benefit Camp Korey. The flashlight maze evenings will also feature a celebrity story time and sing along, along with wagon rides. Donations for the camp will be accepted at any time.

Remlinger Farms also has a U-pick pumpkin patch, gift shop and numerous rides and activities. It is located at 32610 N.E. 32nd St., Carnation. Call (425) 451-8740 or visit www.remlingerfarms.com for information.
