• The mysterious disappearance of Larry Ray Dalley has finally been solved. The King County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Monday afternoon that human remains found last week in a swampy, wooded area south of Stillwater were indeed those of Dalley. State Patrol is handling the case and it is being treated as an accident.

• Great, Scott! That about sums up the feelings of Snoqualmie Valley’s voters for their local son, Scott Wallace, who derailed the McLean train on its run for the north district county commissioner’s office. The Valley’s other candidate for the 47th District legislative job, John B. Spear, also emerged with a solid margin and will give the Democrats a stronger presence.

• In this issue of the Record, readers will be glad to note that the students of the Snoqualmie and North Bend High Schools are again publishing their official papers. North Bend will have a paper each week and Snoqualmie a larger one, every other week.
