The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation has announced a new partnership with foundry10’s School Districts team to increase access to literacy curriculum and resources at preschool and elementary schools. This will allow schools to better address education access gaps for the students they serve, improve academic performance, and provide additional teaching resources, according to an announcement by the foundation.
The SVSD Early Learning Center is slated to open in fall 2025 in North Bend. The facility will be home to Snoqualmie Valley School District preschool and daycare programs, expanding the capacity to serve families in the district, and consolidating the focus for early childhood education, according to the foundation.
The new center will provide preschool services to students who qualify for special education (about 100 to 120 preschool students) as well as provide daycare to 20 to 30 children for SVSD staff families. The addition of full day preschool is also facilitated by this new building. Funding from foundry10 will provide $50,000 to purchase literacy support materials and library materials for the news space as well as materials for SVSD’s elementary literacy needs in grades K-5.
